I’m Brodie, founder, creator and candle pourer behind the brand.

What began in a small kitchen has grown into a refined home fragrance studio shaped by memory and feeling.

My love for candles started young, but in 2010, after moving out on a tight budget, I began making my own as I could not justify the cost of luxury candles. I taught myself the process and started creating blends for friends and family, without realising I was laying the foundation for btncl.

In 2020, my career as an international flight attendant came to a sudden pause. That time at home gave me the space to think about what I wanted to build. I kept coming back to scent and the way it connects to memory. That became the starting point for the brand.

Each scent is influenced by places and moments that stay with you. The air after rain, a warm afternoon, a familiar room. Scent has a way of bringing you back, and every candle is created with that in mind.

Every candle is hand-poured in small batches using a premium soy blend and carefully developed fragrance oils. The focus is on balance, performance and a clean, even burn.

I believe fragrance should feel considered, and so should the object that holds it. Our vessels are made to be repurposed, and our packaging uses at least 70 percent recycled materials. Sustainability is simply part of how we operate now.
